What do you do at DYNAMIC?

I lead a junior research group in the division of clinical psychology and psychotheraphy at the Justus Liebig University Giessen, and I support the development of the DYNAMIC Z- project.

How would you describe your work and research?

Network analyses is a methodology that allows us to study how symptoms are interconnected. My reasearch focuses on appling network analysis to fully idiographic longitudinal data to explore how symptoms interact over time within single individuals. Additionally, I am interested in understanding how these networks can support clinicians in their everyday work and how they can be iimproved in terms of clinical utility.

What insights from your field of research have you always wanted to share?

Every patient is unique. Personalized care should not mean ignoring what we have learned from thousands of other patients, but rather using this knowledge to tailor care to the individual. Network models can help with this, but they should provide something that is valuable from the perspective both clinicians and patients.
