Meet our Scientists

Oskar Bieber (M.Sc.)
What do you do at DYNAMIC?
I am a PhD researcher in the interdisciplinary Z Project, which builds the central database for the DYNAMIC consortium. My role is to help bring together data from different research groups and measurement methods.
How would you describe your work and research?
My work focuses on understanding mental disorders from different perspectives. As a psychologist working in an interdisciplinary research team, I contribute to research that connects psychology with psychiatry, neuroscience, and computer science.
I am especially interested in how sleep relates to somatic symptoms in mental health.
What insights from your field of research have you always wanted to share?
Sleep is one of the most fundamental processes for human survival, yet it is frequently overlooked in discussions about mental health.
A deeper understanding of sleep may also improve our understanding of mental disorders.
