Research
DYNAMIC comprises many projects in very different areas of research. Here you will find an overview of our projects and goals as well as further information for our project participants.
Mental disorders are among the most common and most serious health problems. Across the population, one in three people are affected at some point in their lives. The chances of successful treatment improve with early, precise and individualized treatment. Therefore, researchers from Hessian universities and research institutions at the LOEWE Research Center DYNAMIC want to better understand mental disorders to develop new therapeutic approaches and methodologies.
Better understanding and treatment of mental disorders
Project introduction: A new understanding of mental disorders
Our research projects
Research at the LOEWE Research Center DYNAMIC spans several projects in which researchers from psychology, psychiatry, statistics, computer science and neurobiology work together to better understand mental disorders.
In particular, multimodal, dynamic data as well as network and machine learning models from AI research are used to advance the individual characterization and thus targeted treatment of mental health disorders.
Fundamental to this is a new understanding of mental health problems: as disorders of dynamic networks of psychopathological, psychological and neurobiological processes.
