The LOEWE Research Center DYNAMIC hosted a two-day retreat in Gießen on November 6-7, 2025 for Early Career Researchers. Organized by our ECR representatives, the event brought together PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from across the consortium, offering them a rich program designed to support interdisciplinary research, collaboration, and networking.

The retreat featured a diverse mix of scientific talks, interactive sessions, and workshops. Participants explored topics such as network analysis, effective science communication, and key strategies for preparing grant applications.

In addition to many valuable contributions from DYNAMIC researchers, Prof. Dr. David Goretzko gave an insightful presentation on how machine learning can be used to improve questionnaires and psychological assessments.

We are excited to welcome Prof. Goretzko as a new DYNAMIC professor for “Methods of Psychotherapy Research” in Frankfurt!

We are also grateful to our guests, Tanja Desch and Verena Graulich, whose practical input added important perspectives to the program.

With this ECR Retreat, the LOEWE Research Center DYNAMIC provided a dedicated platform to strengthen the skills, visibility, and interdisciplinary connections of its Early Career Researchers. We look forward to plan such events in the years to come.
