READDY - Study on depression and relationships
Relationship and Depression Dynamics in Treatment
Short description:
Research has shown that psychotherapy is an effective treatment for reducing depressive symptoms in mental illnesses such as depression. We also know that relationships play an important role in mental health and therapeutic success. That is why we want to use this study to investigate how involving partners in therapy sessions affects the treatment of depression compared to therapy without the involvement of partners.
In addition, we want to examine the relationships between various relationship factors, such as communication and mutual support, depressive symptoms, and therapy success. The data from the daily life survey will provide us with valuable insights into the temporal relationship between symptoms and individual dynamics. This will enable us to further develop treatment options for depression and hopefully offer even more tailored treatments in the future.
